PROFESSIONAL FOREIGN LANGUAGE INSTRUCTOR

Adventures at Kinderdijk, Netherlands Summer 2022
My language story started in Portland, Oregon back in 1991 when my parents signed me up for a French-immersion Preschool two blocks from our house. From preschool through 8th grade, I was in a full-immersion French schooling system. In 6th grade, I started Spanish. In 9th grade, German. For my undergraduate studies at Penn State, I majored in French and Francophone Studies, along with International Studies. I also received a Minor in German Studies. In 2008, I took a year off from college and went to the Nordfjord Folkehøgskole, a outdoor adventure boarding school in Sandane, Norway. In 2015, I lived in Itupeva, São Paulo, Brazil where I learned Portuguese and taught English, French and German.
I have become a six-language speaking polyglot. My Master's of International Education, Teaching ESL Concentration was completed from Endicott College in 2019.
